CARE GUIDE
Care & Handling
To ensure that your Under The Bondi Sun products last for as long as possible, please take care to follow our care instructions. While each style may differ slightly, we have compiled some best practice hints to help you care for your intimates, sleepwear, swimwear, garments and accessories.
Intimates, sleepwear, and garments.
1. Hand wash in cold water or use a gentle machine cycle with gentle laundry detergent to avoid disintegration of the high-quality poly/elastane fibres.
2. Avoid soaking your pieces for too long as it can cause colour fading and transfer. Wash like colours together, and do not mix colours when washing.
3. Do not tumble dry as it can damage the delicate fabric. Instead, dry flat in the shade to prevent weakening of the fibres.
4. Avoid using bleach as it can damage the fabrics and colours.
5. If you decide to iron satin, cotton, and mixed fabric clothes, use a low heat on the reverse of the pieces, and use a cloth in between your piece and the iron.
6. Keep your pieces in the bag we provide and store them in a drawer with similar items. Be careful with lace pieces and avoid mixing them with bras as bra hooks can damage the lace.
For our slippers, which are made of cotton, submerge them in cold water with a gentle detergent and avoid wringing them out. Let them air dry overnight, and do not tumble dry or use too much heat as it can damage the sole and cotton fibres.
Jewellery (Pieces made from silver and gold-plated):
1. Remove jewellery when showering or bathing, especially when in chlorinated water, the sea, or on the each.
2. Avoid wearing jewellery when conducting any kind of rigorous physical activity such as swimming, going to the gym, or cleaning.
3. Never expose jewellery to household cleaning products, especially bleach and highly reactive solutions.
4. Avoid spraying perfume and hairspray on pearls as it can jeopardise the integrity of the materials.
5. Remove jewellery when applying make-up and creams to avoid residue build-up.
6. Keep away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
7. Clean your jewellery regularly by soaking in hot water with baking soda or using a soft, lint-free cloth.
8. Remove all jewellery at night prior to going to bed to avoid constant rubbing against your sheets.
9. Store jewellery safely in a jewellery box or pouch to avoid damage.
